San Diego is one of California’s major cities, located just 120 miles south of Los Angeles near the Mexican border. It is the second largest city in California and the eighth largest in the country. It is also one of the fastest growing cities in the US.

San Diego was the first site Europeans visited on the West Coast, establishing the first church in modern day California. The first mission was founded in San Diego in 1769. By 1821, the territory was part of a dispute between Mexico and the United States. Evidence of this rich history is still available today.

In fact, San Diego is considered one of the country’s most academic cities, hosting San Diego State University, University of California San Diego and many private and community colleges.

San Diego´s mild climate is one of its most attractive features. The weather is warm throughout most of the year, making it possible to enjoy a pleasant day at the beach any day of the year.
