Buying a mobile home is a very different strategy than it was a few decades ago. The mobile homes of today are constructed with high quality materials and come with the same amenities you would expect with more permanent dwellings. As a bonus, the cost of a new mobile home tends to be much lower than a house that sports the same amount of square footage.
In terms of the layout, mobile homes usually include full kitchens that come with a lot of cabinet space. New models also come equipped with all the major appliances. Once you buy the food and put away your dishware and cooking utensils, the kitchen will be ready for preparing just about any type of meal you can imagine.
Mobile homes also tend to include living and dining areas. With double wide homes, the living space will be ample, ensuring that even a larger family can occupy the space with ease. When you are actually settled into the home, it will be very difficult to tell the difference between this type of dwelling and the interior of a brick and mortar structure.
In terms of bedrooms, the floor plan will likely have all sleeping areas located at one end of the mobile home. The master bedroom will usually be at the end of the hall, and include a private bath. Other bedrooms will occupy adjacent spaces, with another bathroom conveniently located at the same end of the home. There are also mobile homes that sport what is known as a mother-in-law layout, providing sleeping areas at both ends of the home and all communal living areas in between.
