Austin is the capital of Texas, centrally located in the state. As the 11th largest city in the United States and the fourth largest in Texas, Austin is growing incredibly fast. As one of the most liberal and diverse cities in the state, Austin has room for everybody.

Downtown Austin is one of the most popular areas for visitors, but residents find a place here too. This neighborhood features a number of bars, restaurants and high rise homes. Condos are the most popular living option here too.

One of the oldest neighborhoods in Austin is Hyde Park. This section offers an eclectic mix of large Victorian homes and small cottages built in the 1950s. Students and families alike find this to be the perfect setting to build a home, especially with its proximity to the University of Texas.

One of the most prestigious parts of town is West Austin. In addition to giant oak trees and beautiful views of the city, this neighborhood is just a few minutes from downtown. Here, you will find a mix of homes built in the 1960s and modern homes. Plus, the schools in this neighborhood are great.

Southwest Austin, which includes the neighborhood of Oak Hill, offers a number of older homes built in the 1970s. These homes are large and are in close proximity to great schools. Many of these homes come with great acreage as well.
